MIT 2023- KPMG #1

On the 27th March we had our first one day hui in Auckland. Those of us from out of town got to enjoy a night away so that we were ready to go bright and early Monday morning.

We met at Lawn for breakfast before hand, it was really nice to catch-up with everyone before our busy day!

Being hosted by KPMG is awesome!  Not only being in a corporate setting but also in Auckland was a nice change of pace. We are really lucky to have the room we do, as there is space for presenting to each other as well as breaking out to work individually.

The focus of the hui, was to present our prototype ideas, and then start to develop our prototypes for feedback.

My prototype planning slides can be found at the bottom of the blog. There is a lot of ideas, but I don't think they will all be implemented in my final design. It was quite hard presenting these ideas, as some of them were much more of a brain storm than fully formed concepts. The feedback was really helpful for thinking about how the site will be framed to support the teachers in ways that it is needed.

Once we had all presented we spent most of the day planning our prototype to get feedback on before we meet at the start of term 2 (we also had a very yummy lunch). My focus for feedback is centred around usefulness of the site and design flow.

Our last activity of the day was designing a logo for the group, it was really cool to see the group come together to think up an idea that reflected us and we all liked so quickly!

Looking forward to our next steps :)
